I'm disappointed with Henry Aaron and his comment on April 8th comparing those who oppose President Obama to the KKK.  Does Mr. Aaron think that all of his fans from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s were liberal Democrats?  Can't we oppose President Obama because of his bad policies?  We're judging him on the content of his character, not the color of his skin.  Isn't that what Martin Luther King, Jr. (and Henry Aaron) wanted?  Is it okay to criticize the half of President Obama that is white?

P.S. Abraham Lincoln was a Republican.  Supporters of slavery were Democrats.  In the 1960s, Democrat governors Lester Maddox (Georgia) and George Wallace (Alabama) tried to prevent school integration.  Before he became a U.S. senator, Democrat Robert Byrd from West Virginia was a leader of the Ku Klux Klan.

Later . . . I heard Jay Weber say on the radio, "Incompetence is incompetence, in any hue."
